About the Artists

Sandy Plunkett

A self-taught illustrator and comic book artist, Sandy Plunkett came of age in New York City during the 1960s and '70s and began drawing for Marvel Comics at eighteen. Throughout his ongoing career he has drawn for several other major publishers, including DC. His trademark look can be seen in countless posters, album covers, and political cartoons, as well as in those comic books treasured by collectors. Kris Mobley

A pencil portraitist and illustrator, Kris Mobley grew up in Indiana where he spent hours drawing at a coffee table and reading comics. While working on various private, public, and commercial art commissions, he has also conducted youth drawing classes at the Indianapolis Art Center and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, and his work has been included in several juried art exhibitions.

His educational background includes The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Franklin College, Union Bible College, Taylor University, and the Indianapolis Art Center, and he has degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University and Herron School of Art and Graphic Design.

In 2015, Kris started Gray White Graphite Art as a publishing label to market prints of his pencil artwork, and in 2018 added the imprint Gray White & Black to offer unique works in ink by other artists.
