Not the Green Arrow of the popular CW TV series, this portrait draws its title from the 1970s take on the character in DC Comics' Green Lantern/Green Arrow storyline, "Hard-Traveling Heroes." That Green Arrow's scrappy defiance of the status quo reminded me of this Indianapolis jazz drummer's world-renouncing artistic commitment. He always carried drumsticks, never a computer, in that laptop case.
